SkateHer is dedicated to empowering girls through the sport of hockey. Our mission is to create inclusive opportunities that foster confidence, leadership, and resilience in young female athletes. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and a supportive community, we aim to break down barriers in the sport, grow participation, and ensure every girl has the chance to skate, compete, and thrive — both on and off the ice.

I didn’t grow up in hockey, but once I was introduced to the sport, I quickly realized how transformative it could be. The energy, the teamwork, the resilience it builds—it’s unlike anything else. However, what stood out even more was the scarcity of opportunities for girls to get involved, stay involved, and feel genuinely supported in the game.
I created SkateHer to level the playing field and open the rink doors wider for girls in hockey. Our mission is to empower young female athletes by giving them access to the tools, training, and support they need to thrive both on and off the ice. Whether it’s providing equipment, funding, mentorship, or creating safe and inclusive hockey spaces, SkateHer is here to ensure every girl who wants to play has the chance to shine.
This isn’t just about hockey. It’s about giving girls the confidence to take up space, to push past limits, and to know they belong—on the ice and in the world.
